  • 2016: Full graduate studies ("Habilitation"): University of Sfax-Tunisia (USS). Major: Computer Science & Engineering. Title: Towards an unified framework for the combinatorial optimization problems.

  • 2008: Doctoral thesis: University of Valenciennes and Hainaut Cambrésis-France (UVHC) & USS. Major: Computer Science & Engineering. Title: Heuristics for the selective vehicle routing problem.

Research Interests

  • Designing, developing, and implementing advanced optimization algorithms, including heuristics, metaheuristics, matheuristics, hyperheuristics, and exact methods, for solving challenging combinatorial optimization problems.
  • Integrating and enhancing traditional optimization approaches through machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to develop adaptive, intelligent, and high-performance optimization frameworks.
  • Formulating mathematical models for the representation, analysis, and solution of complex decision-making problems under various constraints and uncertainties.
  • Developing data-driven decision-support systems that leverage optimization, artificial intelligence, and analytics to improve managerial decision-making in diverse application domains, including cloud and edge computing, logistics and transportation, manufacturing and production systems, resource management, and healthcare systems.
