  • - (2000) Ph.D., South Valley University, Egypt and University of Pittsburgh, U.S.A. via a Channel System Scholarship. The Title of the Research: "The Imagery of Anthony Thwaite within the Context of the Movement". - (1995) M.A., South Valley University, Egypt. The title of the research: "A Study of the Translations of W.H. Auden with Reference to his English Image in the Thirties". - (1991) A Certificate of TESOL (Mediterranean Summer Institute). - (1988) The Preliminary Courses for M.A. Degree, Cairo University. - (1985) B. A., English Language and Literature, Qena Faculty of Arts, Assuit University.

Research Interests

  • Professor Mohamed Aly is a Professor of English Language and Literature, Department of English, Faculty of Arts, Aswan University, Egypt. He is also an Associate Professor of English Language and Literature, English Department, AlKharj Community College, Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (on secondment). He was a visiting scholar (via a Channel-System Scholarship) at University of Pittsburgh, United States of America, between 1997 and 2000.
  • Professor Aly served various academic administrative positions at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University including Supervisor of the English Department (2010-2021). He is also a program reviewer, an external international reviewer for the COE Accreditation Authority, and a reviewer for a number of international journals.
  • Professor Aly has authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and given speeches at a number of national and international conferences. His research interests and publications focus on English literature, translation, critical studies, the interaction between the Western and Eastern cultures, and the formation of and the struggle for keeping the identities of nations.
