Research Interests

  • Theoretical English phonetics and phonology
  • Stress assignment in English by Arabic-speaking EFL learners
  • Applied linguistics, mainly language acquisition and L1 interference
  • E-learning during COVID and beyond

Responsibilities

  • Head of English Language Unit (ELU) at College of Applied Studies
  • Teach a variety of courses in the English Dept. (phonetics/phonology, linguistics, essay writing, conversation, etc).
  • Teach listening and speaking courses in the language labs using the Xclass software.
  • Other responsibilities: in charge of updating and ameliorating the English Department’s official website and the Dept's handbook bilingually.
