Research Interests

  • My area of research includes the Development and formulation of drug delivery systems for poorly soluble drugs with emphasis on solubility and bioavailability enhancement techniques such as cyclodextrin complexation, solid dispersions, micronization, nanonization, energyless microemulsion formation, and self-nano emulsifying drug delivery systems.
  • I have hands-on experiences and expertise on methodologies and techniques such as physicochemical characterization of drugs and formulations using UV, FTIR, DSC, XRD; Analytical and bioanalytical method developments and validation of techniques such as UV, HPLC; Quantitative assay/evaluations of drugs and formulations in matrix and plasma by HPLC; Physicochemical modifications of drugs; In vitro characterizations of drugs and dosage forms using dissolution, disintegration, diffusion, permeation, particle size estimation; and Pharmacokinetics, bioequivalence/ bioavailability estimations.
  • I have published more than 60 papers in reputed journals, authored a few book chapters, and have been serving as an editorial board member of reputed journals.
